SAINT PAUL, Minn. -- A lower body injury suffered Thursday in a 4-0 win at Buffalo may leave the Minnesota Wild without defenseman Marco Scandella, who was termed day to day by coach Bruce Boudreau after Fridays practice. If Boudreau looking for sympathy, hes not going to get it from Dallas Stars coach Lindy Ruff. The Wild and Stars meet on Saturday night in Minnesota in what could be termed as a rematch of last seasons playoffs, though much is different about both teams since the Stars dispatched the Wild in six games during the opening round last spring. To start, with less than one-tenth of the season gone, Boudreau has the Wild doing what his Washington and Anaheim teams did routinely -- leading the division.Minnesota comes home after getting five of a possible eight points on its first extended road trip of the season and sits atop the Central. Keying that run is goaltender Devan Dubnyk, who has not allowed a goal in the past two games, and balanced scoring, with every Wild skater recording at least a point so far.Minnesota leads the Western Conference with 28 goals after eight games. Its a confidence-builder, Boudreau said after the Buffalo game. Now when they go out, everybody thinks theyre the guy that can get the job done. The Stars are a different team than last year mostly due to the injury bug, which has taken up residence in north Texas for the time being. After a 4-1 loss in Winnipeg on Thursday, it was noted to Ruff that the team is currently missing six forwards from the lineup that won the Central last season. Were missing two power play units when you look at the personnel, Ruff said, pointing to youth as a sign of optimism. I think our young kids hung in there tough. They generated some good opportunities. I thought they put Winnipegs defense under duress.Just in the past week, notable names like Ales Hemsky, Jason Spezza, Cody Eakin, Mattias Janmark, Patrick Sharp, Patrick Eaves and Jiri Hudler have all missed time or are out of the Stars lineup due to a variety of ailments. The players still on the ice know that sympathy will not be forthcoming. Were going to have to move on from this one and get ready for Minnesota, Tyler Seguin said after the loss in Winnipeg. Its early in the season, but weve got some work to do. A lot of guys out of the lineup right now, but were going to re-group and be ready for Saturday.Despite losing Scandella, Minnesota did get a bit of good news on the blue line Friday, as Jared Spurgeon was a full participant in the teams skate and looks to return to the lineup on Saturday after missing the Wilds previous four games with an upper body injury.Saturdays game will be the 600th regular season contest at Xcel Energy Center since the building opened for the expansion Wild in 2000.Dan Fouts Youth Jersey . However, speaking exclusively to Sky Sports, Ferguson fears the demands of Premier League football may stifle Guardiolas influence.Without question Pep has got a fantastic work ethic about him, he demands that from all of his training sessions, he said.Anyone who thinks theyre not going to work hard at City wont last long. He has got great coaching ability, there is no doubt about that. Guardiola achieved unrivalled success during his three-year spell at Barcelona Man City have made a real coup in getting him but Pep wont find it easy, English football is not easy.Every foreign coach that has come to England will tell you that. Arsene Wenger was talking about that a few months after coming and even Jose Mourinho was.Pep will be a success but I dont think hell ever replicate what he did at Barcelona because that was a high standard - they were the best. Guardiolas Barceona team was the greatest, according to Ferguson This seasons Premier League campaign has seen the established clubs dominance challenged like never before, with Leicester City and Tottenhams surprise emergence as genuine title contenders.ddddddddddddFerguson expects a reaction from the so called big clubs next season, just as he managed to do in response to successful campaigns from Blackburn, Arsenal, Chelsea and City during his tenure at Old Trafford. And it is for that reason Ferguson feels Guardiola is not guaranteed immediate success at Eastlands. Pep won’t find it easy, English football is not easy. There is no guarantee Man City can win the league. That’s the beauty of the Premier League. Sir Alex Ferguson You have to ask what the big clubs are going to do, he added. If you take my time at United, when Chelsea and Jose came on the scene, in the first two years they had quick starts, so I had to accept that challenge.Thats what you have to do when youre a big club. Arsenal, Liverpool and the other clubs have to accept the challenge when they are not good enough.Theyll have their own ambitions and will be desperate to win the league next season as much as City, so Pep there is not a guarantee they can win the league.Thats the beauty of our league. Arsenal, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham will want to do something and now, of course, Leicester City are there. Whos to say they cant win it next season? Also See:Fergie: Leicester deserve titlePep clearout at City?Alonso: Pep ahead of his timeMan City video ' ' '
