Sky Sports News HQ presenter Alex Hammond is back to reveal her fancies for the BetBright Chase and much more. Great to see Silviniaco Conti back to winning ways last weekend - how big a player is he in the Crabbies Grand National now?I would imagine the handicapper would love to reassess him given half a chance after that Grade One win at Ascot and he looks very well treated with hindsight. Fair play to Paul Nicholls for getting the horse back to his best and the application of blinkers for the first time (replacing cheekpieces) helped to give him back his zip. I spoke about the problems Nicholls has had to contend with last week with the 10-year-old and its great to see the horse enjoying life again. If he runs in the National he is a very big player. Not only does the track suit, but he jumps well, so youd hope the big fences would hold no fears. Of course, he has won the Bowl at the National meeting twice before and there must be a temptation to run in that contest again. If I owned him though, Id be heading for the big one, because at the age of 10 and given his lenient rating there is no time like the present. Hes now usurped Many Clouds at the top of Sky Bets market and is a 10/1 chance.Kerry Lees remarkable start to her training career continued with Bishops Roads win in the National trial at Haydock - how do you assess his big race chances? His win at Haydock was an attritional slog in desperate ground which he handled with aplomb. Theres no doubt he stays and stays, but is he as effective on the better ground he is likely to encounter at Aintree? On the plus side, he had some fair form on better ground when he was trained in Ireland and with five wins from 15 starts he is incredibly consistent, while hes far from exposed. Like Silviniaco Conti he also looks well treated in the weights in light of his weekend exploits and at eight years old he could still be progressing. So, lots to like about him and Kerry Lee is making waves in her debut season with a licence, so why not have a go? Another thing that was pleasing to see with Aintree in mind was his natural ability to jump a fence well and he would certainly make my shortlist at the moment. Hes now 25/1 for the National.Nicky Henderson threw open his stable doors to the media this week- what do you rate as his best chance of a Cheltenham Festival winner?Henderson is the most successful trainer at the Cheltenham Festival of all time and it would be unthinkable for him to come away from the meeting without a winner or two. Granted, he hasnt hit the heights weve come to expect this season but one or two winners at the Festival can change everything. As I mentioned last week, Im looking forward to seeing My Tent Or Yours in the Champion Hurdle and with news this week of another Willie Mullins defection the race is getting more and more winnable. It would be a fair training performance after such a long absence, but he will have had a couple of away days before Cheltenham and catching him fresh and well may be just the trick. Hes 7/1 with Sky Bet so still an each-way price, unless more of the protagonists get pulled out before the big day.Bloody Mary is a mare that Henderson speaks highly of and she can go well in the Mares Novices Hurdle on the Thursday of the meeting. Shes currently 12/1 with Sky Bet which seems a fair price for a horse that has won seven of her eight starts. She made her British debut at Taunton at the start of this month and won cosily and despite lacking a bit of stature, showing a good attitude. And wouldnt it be marvellous for Sprinter Sacre to win the Champion Chase again after his well documented problems? He can be backed in the market without Un De Sceaux or if you fancy his chances of beating the Mullins horse hes currently 9/2. Sky Tickets Fast, secure racing tickets: Exclusive racing offers near you Anything take your eye in the BetBright Chase at Kempton? One that jumps off the page from a handicapping point of view is Theatre Guide who now runs off a mark of 139. At his pomp he was running well in handicaps off around half a stone higher and trainer Colin Tizzard is cooking on gas at the moment with his horses consistently running well. Theatre Guide has been placed twice in the Hennessy and was second to Smad Place this season off the same mark he will run off on Saturday. I think he will appreciate the better ground which is expected and rates a massive player.Of the other runners, Champagne West doesnt look like a horse that is obviously well handicapped, but he deserves his prominent position in the market. He is clearly a horse of talent, but he does love to treat the odd fence with a lack of respect and I couldnt back him with any confidence until he sharpens up his act. However, he may have a bit more time at his obstacles with this step back up to three miles and as he hasnt had too many chances to show his ability over this trip there could be more to come - he is after all a point-to-point winner. There are some really solid performers in the line up with the likes of Sky Bet Chase winner Ziga Boy running off an 8lb higher mark for his Doncaster win. Le Reve is back for more after his second place to Rocky Creek in this last year and his old foe is also among the entries. Rocky Creek is 4lbs higher this time round with Le Reve up 3lbs. The latter comes here in good form, but his win last time out came with the first time blinkers and youd want to be confident they will have the same effect. Rocky Creek on the other hand comes here off the back of a lacklustre run in the Denman Chase and youd need to see an improvement for a repeat of last years victory.Another to consider is Thomas Brown, who looks the pick of the two Harry Fry entries and this unexposed novice has improver stamped all over him. He stays three miles well and this better ground suits him too.For me its a toss-up between two very different horses: Theatre Guide, who brings plenty of experience to the table and Thomas Brown, who is all about potential. Both offer each-way appeal at 8/1 and I cant split them.A few final Cheltenham clues on the same card - anything tempt you in the Adonis Hurdle or Sky Bet Dovecote? At the time of writing there are short priced antepost favourites for both the Adonis for juveniles and the Sky Bet Dovecote for novices. The market leader for the Adonis Juvenile Hurdle is Gibralfaro for Alan King after two wins from two starts since joining the Barbury Castle handler from France. This race is often a strong trial for the Triumph Hurdle and Gibralfaro is currently a 10/1 shot for the Cheltenham race.Paul Nicholls has a strong entry too and Zubayr is an interesting hurdling debutante. He was an expensive purchase at the Arqana Sales in France back in July with new connections having to fork out 380,000 Euros for this Aga Khan bred son of Authorized. Hes 16/1 for the Triumph with Sky Bet despite never having jumped a flight of hurdles in public and is sure to have done loads of schooling at the champion trainers yard.Nicholls also has Adrien Du Pont in the Kempton race this weekend and this horse has had three starts in the UK, latterly at Chepstow, where he won the Finale in testing ground. He would look vulnerable to something on this better ground with his 7lb penalty, but the likelihood is he instead turns out at Fontwell on Sunday. Pilansberg, who cost 100,000 guineas in October and ran at the highest level when trained in France, is also in there for the yard.Like Zubayr, Nicky Hendersons Khezerabad comes here with no former experience of hurdles. This will show connections where they stand regarding the Triumph for which he is 25/1 and whatever happens, Saturdays race will have a huge bearing on the Triumph Hurdle market one would imagine. The Sky Bet Dovecote also has a decent entry, although whether anything is going to shake up the Sky Bet Supreme market remains to be seen.Min is the horse Ive fancied for the opening race on the Tuesday of the Festival and I havent seen anything yet to change my mind. That said, Alan Kings Winter Escape comes here with an unbeaten record to protect having won both starts. The JP McManus owned five-year-old looks the real deal, but connections are taking things very steady with this horse. He is a smart performer and Im looking forward to seeing him step up in grade on Saturday. Also See: Live results service Full racecards Bet £5 Get £20 Free Get Sky Sports Custom Senators T-shirts . "I wrote 36 on my sheet at the beginning of the game," the Cincinnati coach said, referring the yard line the ball would need to be snapped from. COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Alaina Coates cant imagine a better post duo in the country than she has with South Carolina teammate Aja Wilson.Shell get no argument from Clemson after the two combined for 39 points, 20 rebounds, seven asissts -- mostly to each other -- and six blocks in the sixth-ranked Gamecocks 83-61 victory Thursday night. The high-low is great, Coates said. I mean, weve got the best high-low duo in the nation. The fact is were doing better getting each other the ball. And the overmatched Tigers (8-2) had little chance of preventing it as South Carolina (8-1) won its seventh straight in the rivalry series. They have a ton of weapons and theyre really tough, Clemson coach Audra Smith said. The inside game is impossible to stop.Wilson finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Coates had 19 points and 10 rebounds for her sixth double-double in nine games this season.Wilson and Coates combined for six points when South Carolina came out of the break with a 17-6 run. The Tigers (8-2) could not respond.South Carolinas rivalry win streak ties the longest in series history, matching the run Clemson had from 1996 through 2001. Gamecocks coach Dawn Staley also improved to 4-0 over her former college teammates at Virginia, Clemsons Smith.Wilson added four assists and two blocks while Coates added three assists, two steals and four of South Carolinas season-high 11 blocked shots. Kaela Davis had 17 points for South Carolina.Nelly Perry had 20 points to lead the Tigers. They lost their second in a row after opening 8-0.Clemson was shorted-handed before things started with its two leading rebounders in forward Kobi Thornton and Aliyah Collier limited by injuries. Thornton was out after hitting her head Monday night in loss to No. 25 Oregon. Collier, who averaged 7.9 rebounds this season, played just three minutes because of continuing knee problems.Smith said she expected Collier back for her next game. Thornton, who had returned from a concussion when she hit her head again, could take a bit longer.THE BIG PICTUREClemsoon: The Tigers started the season 8-0 against non-Power Five opponents.dddddddddddd The Tigers, though, have lost their past two to No. 25 Oregon (87-59) on Monday night and the rival, sixth-ranked Gamecocks. While Clemson has improved -- its already doubled its four-win season from 2015-16, it is not yet ready to consistently play toe-to-toe with its better opponents. And there are plenty of those coming up once Atlantic Coast Conference play starts next month.South Carolina: The Gamecocks certainly dont look like the team yet thats rolled to the past three Southeastern Conference titles. Their post duo of 6-foot-5 Wilson and 6-4 Coates are strong and engaged. On the perimeter, though, there are questions. Kaela Davis and Allisha Gray have looked like All-Americans sometimes and been non factors at others. Point guard Bianca Cuevas-Moore has also struggled at taking over the on-court leadership role that Khadijah Sessions handled so well the previous few years.ALL CHANGINGTalk about differing ways to win. The Gamecocks used 16 3-pointers (second best in program history) to blow past Minnesota last Sunday. This time, South Carolina made just four of 14 long-range baskets while relying on its inside advantage to defeat Clemson. Weve got a lot of ways to win, Staley said. Weve got to take advantage of them.HEY, ROOMIEStaley and Smith were roommates for a short stretch at Virginia in the late 1980s until Staleys night-owl tendencies did not mesh with Smiths early-to-bed style. Each sought more suitable people to live with. But theyve remained good friends since college and Staley was impressed with Smiths building program. Im happy for her and the program, Staley said. Even though theyre our rivals, we want to see all South Carolina teams do well.UP NEXTClemson returns home to face South Carolina State on Sunday.South Carolina closes a three-game home stand against No. 9 UCLA on Sunday.
