For me personally the Nba 2k21 Mt myplayer is becoming worse and worse since they add more non-basketball stuff. I grew up in 2K19 when my player got to the nba because for every match I was playing 30 seconds (because you begin as a 60 overall) then having to sit through 5 minutes of loading screens for the next game.
I would sit for one hour of 2K and just actually play with 5 minutes of basketball.Honestly this confront scan item has to be a meme at this time, just generates trash year after year. All this effort and a random face generator would probably do better. I mean that it actually sorta looks like him from a side-angle, it's just the hair and skin color that are so intentionally off... it's gotbetter with each iteration but it's still not where it ought to be. Probably principles. Unskippable cutscenes, can't sim games and gain stats, stats are bound to your kind of player, it all really disturbs me and I bet you get all the same fun stuff that I actually do like.
The myplayer is your very best career style of any game. No bullshit in it, begin off shit and can just improve via matches. The franchise mode is class as well, heaps of features not in the newer games. My cousins are big sports game lovers (they're the kind of guys who perform 2K and Fortnite but nothing else) and he always explained to me that he didn't buy annually because of mechanics or anything, he just wanted new rosters. In recent years they've tried adding new things like the high quality narrative modes and so forth, so in the event that you skip every other year you're probably more enthused about releases. In 2k20 I will have access to rosters for several upcoming years because others will not want to purchase the game So it is more that the names and stats are still there but not any of these exceptional qualities to a roster like the in-game version and voiceover... I will get why someone might prefer to purchase the next iteration should they need the"full immersion" perhaps.
The major complaint I have is not being able to get as near a true 99 overall from the Career mode anymore. Its as straightforward as dividing online and offline into distinct, but linked branches at which you can possess the 95-99 overall system/Stat supply limits for your online mode, but if I would like to get an SG that's 99 Driving dunk, 90+ Ball bandling/Passing, and still be 85/90+ at defense stats, then I get screwed out of who I want my Player to be.
