Contesting one of the reasons given by the FIH for closing the door on Pakistan for the tournament, the PHF said it had applied for visas on time.On Monday, the FIH had issued a release saying the Pakistan junior team, despite qualifying for the tournament to be held in Lucknow from December 8, was being replaced by Malaysia since the visa applications were made after the official deadline had passed and no accommodation had been confirmed within the set deadline.But PHF secretary Shahbaz Ahmed said the visas had been applied for well in advance. We had sent our visa application to the Indian high commission on [October] 24, he said. Then we had submitted our passports to the high commission on the 16th of this month.
