Wes Morgan believes Leicester have been pioneers in the Premier League this season, no matter how their story ends. The Foxes have enjoyed a remarkable campaign which sees them top of the Premier League table with just ten games to go.This time last term they were bottom and eight points adrift but despite being held by West Brom in midweek, Tottenhams defeat to West Ham means Claudio Ranieris side stretched their lead to three points. Club captain Wes Morgan insists his team-mates remain focused on finishing the job but thinks their charge can help inspire other teams to compete with the traditional heavyweights. Were not disheartened about the result [against West Brom], Morgan told Sky Sports News HQ ahead of a Saturday Night Football clash with Watford. Were still in a relatively good position. We just have to focus on our jobs, keep doing what we can and take each game as it comes. Former boss Martin ONeill thinks Leicester have the experience to go all the way and win the Premier League But regardless of what happens at the end of the season I think Leicester probably set a new trend in the Premier League, he told Sky Sports.Weve proved a lot of people wrong, weve changed the mindsets of a lot of people. People have been used to seeing the same teams at the top battling for the title and theyve come accustomed to the same four-five teams thats going to be challenging for the title.Weve changed that and are proud to have done that. It might be the signs of things to come. People will be looking to us as the pioneers to show what they can do and make a difference to the way the Premier League is. Claudio Ranieri knows what he wants, says Wes Morgan Morgan believes Ranieri deserves praise for the work he has done since taking over from Nigel Pearson at the end of last season and explained just what the Italian has changed at the King Power Stadium. He knows what he wants, Morgan said of Ranieri. He puts it across in a funny manner and when the time is to get serious he gets very, very serious. In terms of what hes done thats different to Nigel, hes trying to keep it the same. He understood that off the back of last season when we avoided relegation, the way we did that, he wanted to keep the formula and keep it the same so hes adjusted it. Hes tinkered a bit in terms of tactical positioning, and our shape and formation, but by and large hes tried to keep the positive feeling, keep us moving in the right direction and hes been fantastic. Leicester beat Watford 3-2 the last time the two sides met Leicester travel to Vicarage Road to play 12th-placed Watford on Saturday night - live on Sky Sports - and Morgan is expecting a tough test.Theyre [Watford] in a good position right now and Im sure theyll want to build on that, he said.Thats another team thats come from the lower league and shown that they can perform at the highest level. We know how good they can be, we cant take them for granted and I expect it to be a tough game.Watch the full interview with Wes Morgan on Sky Sports News HQ and watch Watford v Leicester on Saturday Night Football from 5pm on Sky Sports 1 HD. PARIS -- Fourth-seeded Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina of Russia won their first Grand Slam title together by defeating defending champions Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci of Italy 7-5, 6-2 in the womens doubles final of the French Open on Sunday. It was the first major title for Vesnina but the second for Makarova, who won the mixed doubles with Bruno Soares at the U.S. Open last year. The top-seeded Errani and Vinci were bidding to win a third straight Grand Slam title and their fourth overall. They had beaten Makarova and Vesnina in their four previous meetings. "We really wanted to beat them finally, because its really difficult to play against the same team and (be) losing all the time," Vesnina said. "We were not thinking it was a final or a Grand Slam, we were just thinking that we have to beat them." Indeed, it didnt feel like the final of a major with just a couple of hundred spectators in the stands on Court Philippe Chattrier.dddddddddddd Vesnina had previously lost all her Grand Slam finals -- three in womens doubles and three in mixed doubles. Her run of bad luck seemed to continue in the fifth game of the first set when Makarova hit a crosscourt backhand into Vesninas back. "She hit pretty hard," Vesnina said. "You know, this tournament she hit me twice already. I have (one) in my head and one in my back." Vesnina winced in pain while Makarova looked embarrassed. But the Russians quickly got over it by exchanging a high-five. Against a resilient Italian team that broke back three times in the first set, Vesnina took Vincis serve at 5-5 by hitting a backhand return winner. The Russians won four straight games in the second set to lead 4-1 and clinched the victory with a smash from Vesnina. Makarova leaped around at the end of the match while Vesnina fell to her knees.
