Bishop was hurt on a running play by Carolina in the second quarter of Sundays game. He walked off with a limp under his own power, and coach Leslie Frazier said afterward he didnt believe the injury was serious. But an MRI test later revealed the ACL tear, and Frazier confirmed on Monday that Bishop will need reconstructive surgery. This was a blow to an already struggling defence. Acquired to be the starter in the off-season, Flynn lacked the necessary arm strength in training camp and ultimately lost his job to Terrelle Pryor before getting cut early in the season.
