RENTON, Wash. -- J.R. Sweezy was the one part of the Seattle Seahawks offensive line that had avoided injuries or having to change positions this season. Not anymore. Not after a concussion suffered last Sunday against the New York Giants surfaced earlier this week and will keep him out of Sundays game against Arizona, during which the Seahawks have a chance to wrap up the NFC West title and home-field advantage for the playoffs. Sweezy was not listed on Seattles injury report on Wednesday, but missed practices on Thursday and Friday and was not cleared, coach Pete Carroll said. "It happened in the game. We didnt realize that it was an issue until afterward," Carroll said. This will be the first missed game of the season for Sweezy, who has been the one constant on the Seahawks offensive line. While centre Max Unger, right tackle Breno Giacomini and left tackle Russell Okung have all been sidelined by injuries, Sweezy has started 18 straight regular and post-season games dating back to last season. The loss of Sweezy leaves a big question on Seattles offensive line and one Carroll playfully chose not to answer on Friday. Seattle could use one of its rookies -- Alvin Bailey or Michael Bowie -- to play at the position or possibly slide left guard Paul McQuistan to the right side and play James Carpenter at left guard. McQuistan and Carpenter have been rotating at left guard the past few weeks. Bowie started seven games earlier in the season at right tackle when Giacomini was out with a knee injury. Bailey has played as a substitute in 12 of 14 games. Whoever gets the nod in Sweezys place, Carroll was not about to reveal any decisions. "Well have to wait and find out," Carroll said. Cornerback Jeremy Lane returned to practice on Friday after missing Thursday with an ankle injury. Hes listed as probable, along with backup running back Robert Turbin, who also missed practice on Thursday. Lane has been serving as the Seahawks fifth cornerback in passing situations with Walter Thurmond (suspension) and Brandon Browner (injury/suspension) both out. Seattle will also be without Percy Harvin, missing his fourth straight game after making his season debut in Week 11 against Minnesota. Stan Smith Scarpe Online . WASHINGTON -- Houstons attempts at landing a third offensive threat this NBA off-season finally paid off in the return of forward Trevor Ariza. The Rockets acquired Ariza as part of a three-team trade that was announced by Washington on Tuesday, bringing the 6-foot-8 forward back to where he averaged a career-high 14.9 points during the 2009-10 season. Ariza will join Houston in a sign-and-trade in a deal also involving New Orleans and the Wizards. The Rockets will send centre Omer Asik, forward Omri Casspi and cash considerations to New Orleans, while Houston will also get forward Alonzo Gee, guard Scotty Hopson and a 2015 first-round draft pick from the Pelicans. Washington will receive centre Melvin Ely and a trade exception as part of the deal. The 29-year-old Ariza spent the last two seasons with the Wizards, averaging 14.4 points and hitting 40.7 per cent of his 3--point shots last season.dddddddddddd Hes a welcome consolation prize after a busy off-season for Houston, which briefly courted LeBron James and hosted Carmelo Anthony before making a four-year max offer to Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh -- all with the hopes of adding another offensive force to play with James Harden and Dwight Howard. Ariza began his career out of UCLA in New York and has also played for Orlando, the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans. He spent one season with the Rockets in 2009-10. Asik signed with Houston two years ago after two seasons in Chicago. The 7-foot centre averaged a career-high 10.1 points in his first season before injuries and the arrival of Howard limited his production to 5.8 points and only 48 games last season. To help with the departure of Ariza, Washington agreed to a two-year deal with Paul Pierce over the weekend. ' ' '
