Gabby Douglas is a three-time gold medalist and has been one of the best gymnasts in the world for the past several years. A valuable member of the U.S. team, Douglas should be celebrated for her contributions to her team, sport and country for years to come. However, Douglas has had to deal with SO MUCH HATE on social media since her all-around win in 2012. From her hair to her lack of smiling to the position of her hand during the national anthem, everything she does has been criticized. The backlash has been so bad in Rio, she understandably called it hurtful and a lot to deal with?and has even tried to stay off of social media as a result. After finishing a disappointing seventh during the uneven bars final on Sunday, its been a tough stretch for the decorated star.Despite all of the negativity, there has thankfully been an outpouring of support for Douglas from fans, fellow athletes and celebrities. Here is a small sampling below. Yup, what they said. Keep your head up, Gabby! Youll always be a champion to us.See something entertaining on social media that you think deserves to be shared?
